Good Days

Sunday was a great day. I appreciate Jason for his mission presentation, Stuart for preaching, and Steve for teaching my class. We were blessed with three responses. A couple placed membership, a baptism and a restoration. It is good to know that when I need to be away ya’ll are in good hands. (Better hands) Thanks!

We also had a great day in Bardwell. Dad knocked one out of the park. All four of us kids were in the audience to recognize dad’s 60 years of preaching. Friends showed up from Duncanville, Fort Worth, and other places where dad had preached. Bardwell set an attendance record for the day. And during the invitation a man responded to be baptized into Christ. What a big day!

This Sunday I hope will be another good day. We will begin a series on Extreme Makeover: Jesus Edition. We will work through the Sermon on the Mount and discover the life that God intended for his kingdom people. Please read Matthew 5:1-12. Sunday night we will begin talking about the fruit of the Spirit. The first fruit is Love.

Now to Him who is able to do immeasurably more than we ask or imagine…
