ABOUT GOD
We believe…in one God, Creator and Ruler of all things, eternally existing
in three persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. The three are
co-equal and are one God.
ABOUT JESUS CHRIST
We believe…in the deity of Jesus Christ, God’s one and only Son; His
miraculous conception by the Holy Spirit; His virgin birth; His sinless
human life; His perfect sacrifice for the sins of all people by dying on a
cross; His bodily resurrection; His ascension to the right hand of the
Father; and His imminent return to reign as King of kings and Lord of
lords.
ABOUT THE HOLY SPIRIT
We believe…in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit living in every
Christian from the moment of salvation and empowering us for living,
understanding spiritual truths, guiding us in doing what is right, and
giving every believer spiritual gifts for ministry.
ABOUT THE BIBLE
We believe…that the Bible is God’s Word to us. It was written by human
authors under the supernatural guidance of the Holy Spirit and without
error. It is the complete revelation of God’s will for salvation and the
supreme source of truth for Christian beliefs and living.
ABOUT SALVATION
We believe…that salvation is a gift of God found only in the Lord Jesus
Christ. Only by trusting in Jesus Christ as God’s offer of forgiveness can
anyone be saved from sin’s penalty. We believe that baptism is the central
event by which we demonstrate our trust, participate in the death, burial,
and resurrection with Christ, and contact His saving power. When we turn
to Jesus in obedient faith and are united with Christ through a new birth,
we are saved. Eternal life begins the moment a person receives Jesus
Christ into his life. Salvation is maintained by the grace and power of
God, not by the self-effort of the Christian. Because God gives man
eternal life through Jesus Christ, Christians are secure in salvation for
eternity.
ABOUT ETERNITY
We believe…we were created to live forever. We will either exist eternally
separated from God by sin, or eternally with God through forgiveness and
salvation. To be eternally separated from God is Hell. To be eternally in
union with Him is eternal life. Heaven and Hell are real places of eternal
existence.
